Abstract:
A tempered glass plate G4 is provided with: a compressive stress layer that has compressive stress and is disposed in the principal surface of the tempered glass plate; and a tensile stress layer that has tensile stress and is disposed within the tempered glass plate. The tempered glass plate G4 is characterized by being provided with: a high anisotropic stress region Qa which is disposed in at least a part of an edge section, and which has a stress that is anisotropic in a surface parallel to the principal surface; and a low anisotropic stress region Qb which is disposed adjacent to the high anisotropic region Qa on the center side in the direction of the principal surface, and which has a stress that is less anisotropic in the same surface parallel to the principal surface than the high anisotropic stress region Qa.
