Description:
TITLE

TEMPORAL WINDOW KIT

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to the field of building. More particularly, the invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing a temporal window.

BACKGROUND

The term "structural opening" refers herein to an opening which will later constitute a window or a door.

During building, a structural opening does not yet protect the indoor content from rain. The windows are covered by nylon sheets, etc.

However, these solutions are unsatisfactory, since the sheets lack deployment means, and means for attaching them to the structural opening.

SUMMARY

The invention provides a solution to the above- mentioned and other problems of the prior art. In one aspect, the invention is directed to a temporal window kit (10), including:

- a sheet (18), for being rollable about a cylinder (16), the width (60) of the sheet (18) for being smaller than the width (58A) of a first structure opening (56A);

- at least one area-completion item (28A, 28B), for adding to the width (60) of the sheet (18), for completing to the width (58A) of the first structure opening (56A); and

- a first extendable rod (12A), for pressing each of the at least one area-completion item (28A, 28B) onto one of walls (54A, 54B) of the first structure opening (56A), and for setting the cylinder (16) between the walls (54A, 54B) of the first structure opening (56A) by the pressure, thereby installation of the temporal window kit (10) to the first structure opening (56A) turns it to an openable window.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The invention will be understood from the following detailed description of embodiments of the invention, which are meant to be descriptive and not limiting. For the sake of brevity, some well-known features are not described in detail.

The reference numbers have been used to point out elements in the embodiments described and illustrated herein, in order to facilitate the understanding of the invention. They are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting. Also, the foregoing embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated in conjunction with systems and methods thereof, which are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting.

Fig. 1 depicts the basic elements of the temporal window kit, according to one embodiment of the invention.

A temporal window kit 10 includes a rollable sheet assembly 14 and two area-completion items 28A and 28B.

Rollable sheet assembly 14 includes a sheet 18 being rolled about a cylinder 16; and a rod 12A, being extendable by fixing elements 24A and 24B, being extendable from rod 12A, for installing cylinder 16 to a structure opening (not shown).

Each of area-completion items 28A and 28B includes a main plate 50 and a secondary plate 52, extending perpendicularly from its main plate 50. Fig. 2 depicts the basic elements of the temporal window kit of Fig. 1, installed to a structure opening, while the sheet is rolled, and thus the window is open.

Installation of temporal window kit 10 for covering a structure opening 56A is operable by temporally attaching area-completion item 28A to the right wall 54A of structure opening 56A; temporally attaching area-completion item 28B to the left wall 54B of structure opening 56A; disposing rollable sheet assembly 14 between area-completion items 28A and 28B; and making rollable sheet assembly 14 press area- completion items 28A and 28B, thereby making area- completion item 28A press right wall 54A, and making area- completion item 28B press left wall 54B.

Fig. 3 depicts the basic elements of the temporal window kit of Fig. 1, installed to the state of Fig. 2, without the window structure opening of Fig. 2, yet while the sheet is rolled, and thus the window is open.

Thus, the distance between secondary plates 52 is the width 58A of structure opening 56A (shown in Fig. 2).

The length of cylinder 16 is designed to be smaller than the distance 58A between secondary plates 52 (or width 58A of structure opening 56A).

The pressing of rollable sheet assembly 14 on area- completion items 28A and 28B is operable by extending extendable rod 12A, by enlarging the lengths of fixing elements 24A and 24B.

Fixing elements 24A and 24B may constitute screws or telescopic elements.

Similarly, the width 60 of sheet 18 is designed to be smaller than the distance 58A between secondary plates 52, and thus smaller than width 58A of structure opening 56A, thus sheet 18 alone does not cover the entire width of structure opening 56A.

The width 62 of each of main plates 50 of area- completion items 28A and 28B, plus the width 60 of sheet 18, is designed to be larger than width 58A of structure opening 56A, such that there will be an overlap 40 of sheet 18 and main plate 50.

Thus sheet 18 together with area-completion items 28A and 28B indeed cover the entire width of structure opening 56A.

Cylinder 16 may be placed at the highest location in structure opening 56A, for deploying sheet 18 from the highest location to the lowest location in structure opening 56A. Thus, except for the width of area-completion items 28A and 28B, sheet 18 together with area-completion items 28A and 28B cover the entire area of structure opening 56A.

Fig. 4 depicts all of the elements of the temporal window kit of Fig. 1.

Temporal window kit 10 may further include a rod 12B, being extendable by fixing elements 24C and 24D, being extendable from rod 12B, for installing rod 12B to structure opening 56A (not shown).

Each of area-completion items 28A and 28B includes a main plate 50 and a secondary plate 52, extending perpendicularly from its main plate 50.

Temporal window kit 10 may further include one or more bars 26, for accompanying sheet 18.

Fig. 5 depicts the elements of the temporal window kit of 4, being deployed. Extendable rod 12A presses the top only of area- completion items 28A and 28B onto walls 54A and 54B of structure opening 56A (in Fig. 2).

In addition, extendable rod 12B presses the bottom of area-completion items 28A and 28B, by extending extendable rod 12B, by enlarging the lengths of fixing elements 24C and 24D.

Extendable rod 12B further includes connecting elements 32, for connecting to ends 34 of sheet 18. Bars 26 allow threading them into loops 30 of area- completion items 28A and 28B, for limiting motion of sheet 18.

Fig. 6 depicts the temporal window kit of Fig. 4 installed to the structure opening of Fig. 2, at the deployed state.

Fig. 7 depicts the same temporal window kit of Fig. 4 installed to a structure opening different from that of Figs. 2 and 6.

Width 58B of structure opening 56B of Fig. 7 is narrower than width 58A of structure opening 56A of Fig. 6. Main plates 50 compensate the width difference, thus temporal window kit 10 is suitable to both of the structure openings 56A and 56B.

Temporal window kit 10 may allow closing the window by deploying sheet 18, and connecting the end thereof to extendable rod 12B. Rollable sheet 18 may include rigid region including a front member 19A of the rigid region! and a soft main region 17, which may be transparent.

Fig. 8 is a side view of the sheet of Fig. 7.

Fasteners 21 may fasten front member 19A of rigid region to a rear member 19B of the rigid region, crossing through the soft region 17 of rollable sheet 18.

Thus, in one aspect, the invention is directed to a temporal window kit (10), including:

- a sheet (18), for being rollable about a cylinder (16), the width (60) of the sheet (18) for being smaller than the width (58A) of a first structure opening (56A);

The temporal window kit (10) may further include:

- a second extendable rod (12B), for pressing the at least one area-completion item (28A, 28B) onto one of the walls (54A, 54B) of the first structure opening (56A), at a different height than height of pressure applied by the first extendable rod (12A).

The second extendable rod (12B) may include a connecting member (34), for connecting the end (32) of the sheet (18) thereto.

The temporal window kit (10) may further include:

- at least one bar (26), for extending from one (28A) of the area-completion items (28A, 28B) to the other,

thereby limiting motion of the sheet (18).

Each of the area-completion items (28A, 28B) may include^

- a main plate (50), for providing the width adding! and

- a secondary plate (52), extending perpendicularly from the main plate (50), for allowing the pressing of any of the first (12A) and second (12B) extendable rods onto the area-completion item (28A, 28B) thereof.

The sheet (18) may be transparent,

thereby the openable window is transparent while being closed.

The width (62) of the at least one area-completion item (28A, 28B) plus the width (60) of the sheet (18) may be larger than the width (58A) of the first structure opening (56A), thereby allowing installing the temporal window kit (10) to a second structure opening (56B) being narrower (56B) than the first structure opening (56A).
