Provided are a terminal apparatus and a picking system that are, despite having an inexpensive configuration, capable of effectively inhibiting picking errors. According to the present invention, when a reading device reads an article marker of an article in accordance with operation of an operator and inputs article identification information of the article to a control device, if the control device determines that the inputted article identification information is identical to the article identification information that is of the article to be transferred and that is stored in a storage unit, guide information that promotes input of cart identification information of a specific cart is inputted to a display. Thereafter, the display displays the guide information to wait for input from the reading device. When the reading device reads a cart marker of the specific cart in accordance with operation of the operator and inputs cart identification information to the control device, if the control device determines that the inputted cart identification information is identical to the cart identification information, of the specific cart, stored in the storage unit, normal transfer information indicating that the article has been transferred normally is inputted to the display, and then the display displays the normal transfer information.
