Abstract:
This base station has a multiantenna for beamforming that can transmit downlink beams to multiple azimuths. A terminal has: a multiantenna for beamforming that can transmit uplink beams to multiple azimuths; a communication quality measuring means that measures, for each of uplink beams of different azimuths of the terminal, the communication quality of a plurality of downlink beams from each of base stations; a best downlink beam selection means that selects, from among the plurality of downlink beams of base stations and for each of uplink beams of different azimuths, the best downlink beam with which the communication quality becomes a prescribed condition or better; and a best uplink beam selection means that selects, from among a plurality of uplink beams of the terminal, the best uplink beam with which the total communication quality of the downlink beams of all base stations becomes a prescribed condition or better.
