Abstract:
The present invention discloses a terminal control method and a terminal. The method comprises: a second processor transmitting a first message to a first processor upon detecting that a front camera is in a low power consumption mode, the first message indicating that the front camera is in the low power consumption mode; after the first processor receives the first message, controlling the front camera to acquire low power consumption mode images in the low power consumption mode; the first processor receiving the images and identifying whether or not a preset number of successive images of the low power consumption mode comprise preset characteristic information, the preset characteristic information being characteristic information of the terminal currently required for use by a user; and the first processor adjusting, according to an identification result, a brightness of the terminal screen. The present invention satisfies requirements for intelligence and low power consumption in a terminal at the same time, enhancing user experience.
