Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide technology whereby scraping between a terminal and a gripping part can be suppressed even in a case in which the terminal is extended in a longitudinal direction during terminal crimping. A terminal crimping device according to the present invention comprises: a terminal holder that holds a first terminal and a second terminal; a crimping mold that crimps the first terminal and the second terminal held by the terminal holder to a first electric wire and a second electric wire; and a mold-moving part that causes an upper mold and a lower mold to undergo relative movement so as to mutually approach and separate. The terminal holder includes a gripping part that grips each of the first terminal and the second terminal. Also provided is a grip opening part that opens the gripping part after relative movement has started such that the upper mold and the lower mold approach each other, and before the crimping of the first terminal and the second terminal is completed due to the upper mold and the lower mold having approached each other to the closest extent.
