Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible, with connection destination search processing performed on a terminal, to efficiently find an optimal connection destination on the basis of the state of the terminal. [Solution] This terminal device is provided with: a position information acquisition unit 12 which acquires position information of a terminal 1; an information storage unit 14 which accumulates history information relating to past communication states at each position in a communication area of a base station; a movement state estimation unit 21 which estimates the movement state of the terminal on the basis of the position information of the terminal; a destination prediction unit 22 which predicts the destination area of the terminal on the basis of the movement state of the terminal; a measurement target extraction unit 26 which, on the basis of history information relating to the destination area, extracts a measurement candidate to be measured for communication quality, from among the base station devices that are connection destination candidates and can be connected to by radio communication; and a communication quality measurement unit 27 which measures the communication quality of the measurement candidate extracted by the measurement target extraction unit.
