Abstract:
This terminal device communicates with a base station device and is equipped with a RRC processing unit. When an instruction for changing a serving cell to a candidate cell is issued from a lower layer (layer 1/layer 2) of a given cell group, the RRC processing unit determines whether to reestablish an RLC entity at the time of the serving cell change, on the basis of a setting for the candidate cell held (stored) by the RRC processing unit. When it is determined that the RLC entity is to be reestablished at the time of the serving cell change, the RRC processing unit reestablishes the RLC entity, and when it is determined that the RLC entity is not to be reestablished at the time of the serving cell change, the RRC processing unit does not reestablish the RLC entity.
