Abstract:
According to an embodiment, provided are a portable terminal and an electronic device login setting information input method whereby it is possible to simplify a data input task in initial settings. According to the embodiment, an analyzer reads in, via an image capture device, a two-dimensional code which includes an address of a prescribed server and information which is unique to a device, and analyzes the two-dimensional code. A communication device establishes communication with the prescribed server using the address in the two-dimensional code, and notifies the prescribed server of the information which is unique to the device. A guidance screen processor displays a guidance screen on a display device based on information received from the prescribed server such that a user may input setting information necessary for the electronic device having the information which is unique to the device to log in to the prescribed server. A setting information processor supplies the inputted login setting information to the prescribed server in order to register same with the prescribed server.
