Abstract:
Provided are a terminal fitting and a card edge connector that allow variation in, inter alia, the thickness of a circuit board to be accommodated and ensure sufficient contact pressure with respect to the circuit board. A terminal fitting (10) having a flexible leaf-spring-shaped contact piece (11) accommodated within a second housing (50) that is capable of fitting with a first housing (40) provided with a circuit board (41), the contact piece (11) elastically contacting the circuit board (41) when the first and second housings (40, 50) are fitted. The contact piece (11) has a curved portion (24) extending along the fitting direction of the first and second housings (40, 50) and protruding toward the circuit board (41). A contact point part (29) that comes into contact with the circuit board (41) is formed at an apex section of the curved part (24), and a pressed part (28) that is pressed rearward in the fitting direction by the first housing (40) when the housings (40, 50) are fitted together is formed on the fitting-direction forward end of the contact piece (11).
