Abstract:
A terminal fitting (10) provided with a terminal connecting section (11) formed at a front end portion of the terminal fitting and connected to a mating terminal, and also with a compression-connecting section (12) formed at a rear end portion of the terminal fitting and comprising a lower plate section (21) and a pair of crimping sections (22), the lower plate section (21) connecting to the terminal connecting section (11), the pair of crimping sections (22) upstanding from opposite left and right side edges of the lower plate section (21). A terminal section of an electric wire (30) is crimped by crimping the compression-connecting section (12) such that the terminal section of the electric wire (30) is surrounded by the lower plate section (21) and the pair of crimping sections (22). The crimping sections (22) have thin-walled sections (24) thinner than the lower plate section (21) and making contact with the terminal section of the electric cable (30) when crimped.
