Abstract:
A terminal fitting-equipped electrical wire (1) is configured in such a manner that a terminal fitting (20) is secured and connected to a braided wire (10) consisting of metallic wires (12). The terminal fitting-equipped electrical wire (1) is characterized in that: the terminal fitting (20) and an overlap section (14) which is provided at an end of the braided wire (10) are arranged so as to overlap each other; the overlap section (14) has a non-secured section (14B) which is not secured to the terminal fitting (20) and a secured section (14A) which is secured to the terminal fitting (20); and the secured section (14A) is provided in a shape in which the secured section (14A) protrudes further outward than the non-secured section (14B) in the width direction of the secured section (14A). Due to the fact that the secured section (14A) is provided in the above-described shape, the portions of the metallic wires (12), which constitute the secured section (14A), are secured to the terminal fitting (20) along the entire region of the overlap section (14) in the width direction thereof.
