Abstract:
A terminal, a location information providing equipment, a location update method and system are provided by the invention. The location update method includes: acquiring a location information list of Evolved Packet System (EPS) network corresponding to location information of a source Circuit Switching (CS) domain core network (101); acquiring the location information of the current EPS network (102); if the location information of the current EPS network is not in the location information list of the EPS network corresponding to the location information of the source CS domain core network, performing location area update flow (103). In the embodiments of the present invention, a User Equipment (UE) acquires the location information of the EPS network corresponding to the location information of the source CS domain core network, when the UE accesses a new location area of the EPS network, wherein the location area is not in the scope corresponding to the location information of the EPS network acquired by the UE, the UE performs location area update flow. The embodiments of the present invention realize that the UE in CS Domain Service over EPS Domain Access (CSoEPS) network architecture can perform location area update flow, so that Mobile Switch Center (MSC) can obtain the current location of the UE, and the normal communication service of the UE can be ensured.
