A terminal metal fitting (10) comprises: a cylindrical body (20); an elastic contact piece (40) to be disposed in the body (20); and a support piece (50) that can come into contact with the elastic contact piece (40). The elastic contact piece (40) extends rearward from a first fixing end (36), and can be bent and deformed with the first fixing end (36) serving as a fulcrum. The support piece (50) extends forward from a second fixing end (38) provided rearward of the first fixing end (36), and can be bent and deformed with the second fixing end (38) serving as a fulcrum. The support piece (50) has a second contact portion (54) that is provided to the front end side of the support piece (50) and that comes into contact with the elastic contact piece (40), and a curved surface part (53) to which the second contact portion (54) is to be provided. The elastic contact piece (40) has a first contact portion (45) that comes into contact with the curved surface part (53) and that is displaced toward the second fixed end (38) side of the support piece (50) along the curved surface part (53) as the amount of bending becomes larger.
