Abstract:
Provided is a moving speed estimation method that detects and omits Doppler spectrum components that are from peripheral moving scatterers. A moving speed estimation method that includes: a step for calculating a Doppler spectrum; a step for setting a prescribed number of threshold values at regular intervals between a peak power and a noise power; a step for calculating spectrum widths from the difference between the maximum and minimum frequencies for the threshold values; a step for making the spectrum width for the highest threshold value be a first Doppler spectrum width candidate; a step for making the spectrum widths for the threshold values for which the difference between the spectrum width thereof and the first Doppler spectrum width candidate is at or below a frequency difference threshold value be second Doppler spectrum width candidates; a step for determining the second Doppler spectrum width candidate for the lowest threshold value to be a Doppler spectrum width; a step for calculating a maximum Doppler frequency from the Doppler spectrum width; and a step for determining a terminal moving speed from the maximum Doppler frequency.
