Abstract:
The present application belongs to the field of mobile communications. Disclosed are a terminal positioning method and apparatus, and a network-side device. The terminal positioning method in the embodiments of the present application comprises: a first radio access network device receiving a first message from a core network device, wherein the first message comprises first indication information and a first non-access stratum protocol data unit; the first indication information is used for indicating that the first non-access stratum protocol data unit comprises a first positioning protocol message, or is used for transmitting the first positioning protocol message; the first positioning protocol message is a positioning protocol message that is sent to a terminal by a positioning server; the first radio access network device is a radio access network device that stores radio resource control context information of the terminal; and the positioning server is a network device that has a positioning service function.
