Abstract:
A relay device (2) comprises address converting means (25, 26) and storage means (27). In the storage means (27), the addresses of terminals (1 to x) (x=1 to n) connected to a private network and the port number corresponding to a service provided by the terminals (1 to x) are registered. Upon receiving a packet from a terminal (3) connected to a global network (5), the relay device (2) searches for the address of a terminal (1 to x) where the same port number as the destination port number contained in the received packet is registered, converts the destination address of the received packet to the address which the relay device (2) has searched for, and sends it to the private network (4).
