Abstract:

The present invention provides a terminal structure for a superconducting cable, the terminal structure being compact and highly processible. A terminal structure for a superconducting cable, provided with: a cable core emerging from an end part of a heat insulation tube of a superconducting cable; a bushing through which a part of the core is inserted; a porcelain tube housing a normal-temperature-side region of the bushing; a normal conducting pull-out part to which a superconducting conductor layer provided to the core is connected at the end part of the core protruding from the normal-temperature-side end part of the bushing; an inside vacuum layer provided so as to extend to the normal-temperature-side through the porcelain tube from between the inner periphery of the bushing and the outer periphery of the core, the inside vacuum layer holding, in a thermally insulated state, a coolant for cooling the superconducting conductor layer; a cable-side vacuum layer provided from the outer periphery of a cable-side region of the bushing to the end part of the heat insulation tube so as to overlap with the inside vacuum layer and so as to hold, in a thermally insulated state, the coolant for cooling the superconducting conductor layer; and a normal-temperature-side vacuum layer for holding, in a thermally insulated state, a coolant for cooling a connection section between the normal conducting pull-out part and the superconducting conductor layer disposed outside the porcelain tube.
