Abstract:
In order to solve the problem of unavoidable deterioration in downlink throughput after a cell transition, the present invention provides a terminal for a mobile communication system in which a transition is made from a first cell, being a current cell, to a second cell in which communication is performed by a different communication method from that of the first cell, said terminal comprising: a first measurement means for measuring a first value that indicates the reception quality of a downlink signal within the first cell; a second measurement means for measuring a second value that indicates the reception quality of a downlink signal within the second cell; and a transition means that, when the second value is greater than the first value by at least a prescribed amount at a predetermined opportunity related to the transition, executes processing to make the transition, and otherwise, executes processing to stay within the first cell.
