Abstract:
Provided is a terminal which has an even lower frictional resistance (low insertion/extraction force) than in the prior art, which can maintain the reliability of an electrical connection (low contact resistance), and which can be produced simply. The terminal comprises an electrically conductive base material (10), has a tin and copper-tin mixed layer (Sn-CuSn mixed layer) containing tin and copper-tin on the surface (10a) of the base material (10), and is provided with grooves (G1) on the outermost surface (10a) of the tin and copper-tin mixed layer (Sn-CuSn mixed layer). The grooves (G1) are formed such that there are 3 to 100 per 100 μm length in a direction along the outermost surface (10a).
