Abstract:
The present invention relates to a test device and method whereby the fuel injection valve of a marine diesel engine can easily be repeatedly measured, and the present invention comprises: an oil-flow change-over means which is provided between an oil pump and an oil discharge port and is activated so as to change over the flow of test oil to an oil tank or the oil discharge port in accordance with on the opening/closing of a drain passageway; an air-flow control means which is provided between an air-introduction port and the oil-flow change-over means, and controls the flow of pressurized air that flows into the oil-flow change-over means so as to open/close the drain passageway; and a re-measuring switch which is provided so as to activate the air-flow control means during re-measuring; and, in the invention, the fuel injection valve can be used and repeat measurements can rapidly be taken, by ensuring that the drain passageway opens automatically and the test oil flows into the oil tank at the same time as measuring the injection pressure while the test oil is being injected from an outlet port of the fuel injection valve, and ensuring that the drain passageway is closed and the test oil again promptly flows to the oil discharge port just by repeatedly activating the re-measuring switch during re-measurement of the fuel injection valve.
