Abstract:
It is intended to provide a test method with which a retest for activated partial thromboplastin time can be carried out easily and quickly. In a test method for diagnosing whether or not there is intrinsic abnormal blood clotting, which is carried out on a specimen for which the activated partial thromboplastin time is desired to be measured and which has a clotting time of an abnormal value exceeding a standard value at the time when an aqueous solution containing a calcium ion donor at 0.020 mol/L is added to the specimen, particularly a hyperhematocritemia specimen, a specimen containing a plasma component is prepared with a collected blood such that the ratio of an aqueous solution of sodium citrate to blood is 1:9 by using a vacuum blood collecting tube in which an aqueous solution of sodium citrate is placed in advance, and an aqueous solution containing a calcium ion donor at 0.030 mol/L or more and 0.040 mol/L or less is added to the specimen and a clotting time is measured.
