The present invention relates to a test system for an engine comprising: a connector for getting inputted thereto a signal from a sensor placed on the engine or for outputting a signal for controlling the engine; a digital input/output unit for getting inputted thereto a digital signal through a connector or for outputting the digital signal to the connector; a photo-coupler for electrically blocking the transmission/reception of the signal by optically delivering each of the digital signal outputted from the digital input/output unit and the digital signal outputted to the digital input/output unit; a buffer block for removing the noise of the digital signal outputted through the photo-coupler and the digital signal outputted to the photo-coupler; and a test controller for getting inputted thereto a crank, which is inputted into a digital signal through the buffer block, a detection signal for the number of rotation for each of the cams, and a detection signal for the number of rotation of a motor for driving the engine, and for generating a top dead center (TDC) signal and outputting the TDC signal to the buffer block. The present invention enables accurate and diverse engine tests by executing the engine test for before the assembly, in place of ECU, and reduces time and cost spent on the engine test.
