Abstract:
Provided is a testing instrument, wherein the efforts necessary accompanying activation tests by workers will be reduced, when conducting activation tests for thermal-type detectors and smoke detectors. The testing instrument for testing the thermal-type detectors and the smoke detectors is provided with: a heat generating section that generates heat by using flammable gas, which liquefies steam by evaporative-cooling, to transmit heat to the thermal-type detector; and a gas supplying section that supplies flammable gas to the heat generating section and the smoke detector. The heat generating section can have a catalyst, which will promote generation of reaction-heat due to oxidative decomposition of the flammable gas; and a heating section, which will heat the catalyst using the flammable gas, to promote the catalysis of the catalyst.
