Abstract:
[Problem] To create a Japanese readability index that is simple and versatile. [Solution] A text evaluation device 1 comprises: a text dividing unit 122 that divides a received Japanese text into word units; a word analysis unit 123 that analyzes the number of characters and the number of syllables for each word that was divided by the text dividing unit 122; a surface layer information analysis unit 124 that analyzes the number of sentences of the Japanese text on the basis of the words divided by the text dividing unit 122; and a readability analysis unit 125 that calculates the readability of the Japanese text by applying the analysis results of the word analysis unit 123 and the analysis results of the surface layer information analysis unit 124 to an English readability index.
