Abstract:
Provided is a textile for a hollow weave airbag, said textile being suitable for an airbag that has superior storability while satisfying internal pressure retention and abrasion resistance characteristics required from the airbag, and also has superior laceration resistance at the time of airbag deployment. A textile for a hollow weave airbag according to the present invention is characterized in that the value of a dynamic tearing characteristic P in at least a partial region of a two-layer hollow weave pattern, as expressed by the formulas Px={E/(Tx×Fx)}×1000, Py={E/(Ty×Fy)}×1000, and P=Px+Py, is 1.5 or greater (in the formulas, E is the kinetic energy (J) of a block and a blade in a dynamic tearing test (performance standard level 3) as described in JIS T 8050, Tx and Ty are the respective average tearing length values (mm) in the directions of the warp yarns and weft yarns in a dynamic tearing test (performance standard level 3) as described in JIS T 8050, and Fx and Fy are the respective finenesses (dtex) of the warp yarns and weft yarns that make up the two-layer hollow weave pattern).
