Abstract:
A textile for a shirt having an excellent wash-and-wear property which can be fabricated by using a sheath/core-type short and long fiber composite yarn as a warp yarn and/or a weft yarn. The composite yarn is composed of a long polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber and/or a long composite fiber as the core yarn and a short fiber as the sheath yarn. The long composite fiber is fabricated by bonding two polyester polymers to each other in a side-by-side configuration along the lengthwise direction of the fiber, wherein at least one of the two polyester polymers is a polyester mainly composed of polytrimethylene terephthalate. The short fiber is fabricated by mixing a polyester fiber with cotton at a [polyester fiber]:[cotton] ratio of 0:100 to 40:60 by weight.
