Abstract:
A peptide derivative according to general formula (1) is expected to be a new therapeutic agent for glaucoma because intraocular pressure in rabbits is greatly and persistently reduced by intracameral administration or instillation. (In the formula, R1 represents a 2-naphthoylamino group or the like; X represents a carbon atom or the like; the broken line represents a double bond or the like; Y represents -CH2CO- or the like; Z represents a covalent bond or the like; and R2 represents a 2-methylbutyl group or the like.)
