Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel therapeutic or prophylactic agent that can treat or prevent diseases associated with mitochondrial dysfunctions. The present invention provides a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for diseases associated with mitochondrial dysfunctions, the therapeutic or prophylactic agent comprising at least one component selected from a general control nonderepressible 2 (GCN2) inhibitor and a PKR-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (PERK) inhibitor.
