Abstract:
This thermal barrier coating testing method includes: a test piece preparing step of preparing a test piece 1 including a pair of arm portions 21, a curved portion 22 between the pair of arm portions 21, and a thermal barrier coating layer 3 on a curved surface 22a of the curved portion 22; a mounting step of mounting the test piece 1 in a compression test device, after implementation of the test piece preparing step; and a stress loading step of using the compression test device to load the test piece 1 with a compressive stress in a direction causing the pair of arm portions 21 to approach one another, after implementation of the mounting step.
