Abstract:
A thermal buffer composition 10 which comprises a resin 13 and, dispersed therein, porous particles 12 holding, in the pores, a mixture 11 of water and at least one water-soluble substance having a solubility in 100-g water of 50 g or greater, wherein the water-soluble substance is deliquescent and the water-soluble substance in the mixture 11 is in the state of having been at least partly dissolved in the water. The mixture 11 is contained in an amount of 0.01 ml or larger on average per cm3 in terms of bulk volume. It is preferable that the content of the mixture 11 be 0.70 ml or less on average per cm3 in terms of bulk volume. The water-soluble substance preferably comprises one or more compounds selected from among calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, magnesium perchlorate, calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, magnesium acetate, and potassium thiocyanate.
