Title:
THERMAL DECOMPOSITION METHOD FOR ORGANIC SUBSTANCES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/017176
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a thermal decomposition method for efficient thermal decomposition of organic substances such as plastics, the method being capable of obtaining gases and oils of high calorific value and of processing large amounts of organic substances. An organic substance decomposition catalyst is mixed and formed with an organic substance to produce a composite agglomerated material, the composite agglomerated material is placed in a thermal decomposition furnace, and the organic substance is thermally decomposed. Because the organic substance and the catalyst are closely spaced in the composite agglomerated material, maximal catalytic effect can be obtained. Moreover, because the thermal conductivity of the catalyst is higher than the organic substance, it is possible to accelerate the rate of temperature increase of the organic substance. As a result, the present invention improves the efficiency of thermal decomposition of the organic substance by the catalyst and it is possible to effectively increase the organic substance thermal decomposition rate.
