Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a thermal head capable of raising the static elimination function of a static elimination layer, and a thermal printer comprising same. [Solution] A thermal head X1 comprising: a substrate 7; a plurality of heat generating parts 9; a common electrode 17 provided on the substrate 7 and electrically connected to the plurality of heat generating parts 9; a plurality of separate electrodes 19 provided on the substrate 7 and respectively electrically connected to the plurality of heat generating parts 9; a first insulation layer 25 provided on the heat generating parts 9, a portion of the common electrode 17, and a portion of the separate electrodes 19; a second insulation layer 4 arranged to be adjacent to the first insulation layer 25 and provided on a portion of the separate electrodes 19; and a grounded static elimination layer 3 provided on the first insulation layer 25. The static elimination layer 3 comprises a first section 2a provided on the upper surface of the first insulation layer 25, and a second section 2b electrically connected to the first section 2a and provided on the upper surface of a second insulation layer 25, thereby capable of raising the static elimination function of the static elimination layer 2.
