Abstract:
Thermal insulating vessel comprising a double wall container (1, 2, 3; 10, 11) and one or more evacuated panels (6, 7, 8; 12, 13) inserted into the interspace between the two walls (1, 2; 10, 11) of said container. At least one of the evacuated panels (6, 7, 8; 12, 13) preferably comprises an envelope enclosing a very fine powder of an inert material, in particular powder of pyrogenic silica.
