Abstract:
The present invention relates to a thermal management system, a control method therefor, and a compressor included therein. In the thermal management system and the control method therefor, when a battery thermal management mode is operated and a vehicle's indoor cooling or heating is not operated, it is determined whether a refrigerant is in a low refrigerant state in which the amount of refrigerant is less than a reference refrigerant amount, through a superheating or supercooling degree detected from the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant, and the compressor is formed as an electric compressor included in the thermal management system and controlled by the control method. Accordingly, the low refrigerant state in which the refrigerant amount is less than the reference refrigerant amount can be easily identified, and in the case of a low refrigerant state, a measure can be taken, thereby preventing various problems.
