Abstract:
[Problem]
To provide a thermal printer with which fluttering of the paper can be prevented when printing with a thermal head, thereby preventing printing defects and paper jams.
[Solution]
A thermal printer equipped with: a thermal head (26) arranged opposing a platen roller (28); and a stationary guide part (23) that guides the entire width of a paper (12) provided upstream from the platen roller (28), and is provided with calibration marks (60). In addition, a pair of paper guides (18a, 18b) that guide the width of the paper and are provided upstream from the stationary guide part (23), as well as upper guide plates (20a, 20b) provided on the paper guides (18a, 18b), are formed so as to extend over the top of the stationary guide part (23).
