Abstract:
This thermal printer is provided with: a frame; a platen roller rotatably supported on the frame via a bearing; a thermal head disposed so as to face the platen roller; a support member that rotatably supports the thermal head with respect to the frame; and an adjustment mechanism, interposed between a rotating shaft of the platen roller and the thermal head, that, while being in contact with at least a configurational member of the platen roller or a configurational member of the thermal head, allows adjustment of the gap between the thermal head and the platen roller by adjusting the distance between the rotating shaft of the platen roller and the thermal head.
