Abstract:
A thermal printing apparatus is provided with a heat roller (3), which press-contacts a recording surface of thermal recording paper, which is carried on a paper carrying path, and erases an image on the paper, and a thermal head (1) which press-contacts the recording surface of the paper and records the image by applying heat. In the upper stream of the thermal head (1), a cleaning part provided with a cleaning roller (4) having an adhesive surface is provided. The paper passes between the cleaning roller (4) and a platen roller (12) which faces the cleaning roller. Thus, foreign material such as dusts on the recording surface of the paper is removed by the cleaning roller (4).
