Abstract:
The purpose is to provide a compact, lightweight and high-quality thermal storage device that suppresses corrosion of a heat exchanger, and a pleasant and highly energy-saving air conditioning apparatus provided therewith. A thermal storage device is provided with: a thermal storage solution layer configured from a thermal storage solution comprising water; a heat exchanger immersed in the thermal storage solution layer; and a thermal storage container having an inner cavity in which the thermal storage solution layer and the heat exchanger are positioned. A slightly soluble, basic substance having as a principal ingredient at least one type of substance selected from a group consisting of magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium carbonate, magnesium silicate, and magnesium metal is immersed in the thermal storage solution layer.
