Abstract:
In order to prevent corrosion of a cut end portion of a lead at the high-potential end by a water film bridge deposited between cut ends of two leads having different potentials and exposed from the molding resin of a circuit package, this thermal type flow meter is provided with: a flow rate detection unit for detecting the flow rate of a fluid; a processing unit for processing an output signal from the flow rate detection unit; and a circuit package in which the electrical circuit components, including at least the processing unit, are mounted on leads that also serve as electrical wiring, and encapsulated in molding resin. The circuit package is constituted such that at least a portion of the molding resin is situated in the fluid flow channel. The ends of multiple leads are exposed at the surface of a molded resin portion (424) situated in the fluid flow channel. On a surface crossed by a path (700) that connects, by the shortest distance, two ends (544a, 544b) having a potential difference, selected from among these multiple ends, there is formed a step (460a), dividing the water film bridge.
