Abstract:
The present invention provides a preparation method for thermally expandable microspheres coated with carbon dioxide, comprising the following steps: A) mixing a beta-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, a glycidyl methacrylate, a carbon dioxide absorbent, a crosslinking agent and water to obtain a water phase, wherein the carbon dioxide absorbent is a triethanolamine, and the cross-linking agent is a mixture of one or two of a 1,4-butanediol dimethylacrylate and a 1,3-butanediol dimethylacrylate in any proportion; B) mixing a paraffin oil and a Span 60 emulsifier to obtain an oil phase; C) evacuating a reactor and filling the reactor with carbon dioxide, adding the water phase into the reactor, and keeping the pressure of carbon dioxide at 1-6 atm, so that the triethanolamine may fully absorb carbon dioxide; and D) adding the oil phase into the reactor, keeping the pressure of carbon dioxide at 1-6 atm, fully stirring, and adding an aqueous solution of ammonium persulfate or potassium persulfate at 0°C to react to obtain the thermally expandable microspheres coated with carbon dioxide.
