Abstract:
A thermoacoustic device comprising a loop-shaped waveguide and a heat exchanger. The loop-shaped waveguide has a medium filled therein. The heat exchanger is provided inside the waveguide and has a low-temperature section and a high-temperature section. The phase velocity of acoustic waves generated and amplified in the medium by the temperature gradient generated between the low-temperature section and the high-temperature section corresponds to the temperature heating or cooling rate of the medium caused by the temperature gradient.
