Abstract:
Disclosed are a thermochemical energy storage method and system with high-temperature calcium circulation, wherein CaCO3/CaO is used as a thermochemical energy storage system, and energy is stored by means of mutual conversion between thermal energy and chemical energy. When solar radiation is sufficient, solid CaCO3 particles undergo an endothermic decomposition reaction via divided wall heating resulting from hot air generated by solar energy, so that the received heat is stored as chemical energy in decomposition products, i.e. CaO and CO2. When heat is desired, CaO and CO2 are subjected to a reversed thermochemical reaction at an atmospheric pressure to inversely convert the chemical energy stored in the CaO and CO2 to heat energy and release the heat energy. The method and system feature high stored energy density, high circulation efficiency, being environmentally friendly, a simple structure and reliability in application, can address the need for a solar high-temperature thermal power station to operate continuously and efficiently, can be widely applied in the field of high-temperature solar power generation, and are also applicable to high-temperature thermal energy storage and regeneration of other types of power stations.
