Title:
THERMOELECTRIC CONVERSION DEVICE, RADIATION DETECTOR, AND RADIATION DETECTION METHOD USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/148425
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a radiation detector (1) provided with: a substrate (11); a first inclined thin film (12) which is disposed on a first main surface of the substrate (11) and has anisotropic reference crystal planes, said anisotropic reference crystal planes being arranged while being inclined with respect to the first main surface; a second inclined thin film (13) which is disposed on a second main surface on the reverse side of the first main surface of the substrate (1) and has anisotropic reference crystal planes, said anisotropic reference crystal planes being arranged while being inclined with respect to the second main surface; a first pair of electrodes (17, 18) which face each other on the first inclined thin film (12) in the direction in which the anisotropic reference crystal planes of the first inclined thin film (12) are arranged while being inclined with respect to the first main surface; and a second pair of electrodes (18, 19) which face each other on the second inclined thin film (13) in the direction in which the anisotropic reference crystal planes of the second inclined thin film (13) are arranged while being inclined with respect to the second main surface. Either one electrode constituting the first pair of electrodes and either one electrode constituting the second pair of electrodes are electrically connected to each other, and in the first inclined thin film (12) and the second inclined thin film (13), the anisotropic reference crystal planes form a series connection in a single inclination direction.
