Abstract:
A thermoelectric conversion element 1a is provided with a substrate 20 and a plurality of thermocouples 10t. The thermocouples 10t each include a p-type thermoelectric member 10p and an n-type thermoelectric member 10n that each have a thin film shape and that are disposed along a main surface of the substrate 20. The thermoelectric conversion element 1a generates a heat flow in a direction perpendicular to the main surface of the substrate 20 by a current through the thermocouple 10t. In each of the plurality of thermocouples 10t, the p-type thermoelectric member 10p and the n-type thermoelectric member 10n, which form the thermocouple 10t, respectively have a first side surface 11 and a second side surface 12 that face each other. The first side surface 11 and the second side surface 12 face each other in a plurality of different directions.
