Abstract:
A thermoelectric element material 10 used in a thermoelectric element is provided with a quantum dot portion 3 comprising a number of quantum dots 7. In the quantum dot portion 3, carriers 11 for carrying electric current are present. Of the number of quantum dots 7, adjacent quantum dots 7 are separated from each other but are proximate to each other to such an extent that the carriers 11 can move between the quantum dots 7.
