Abstract:
A thermoelectric generation module in which increases in heat leakage between a high-temperature-side heat exchanger and a low-temperature-side heat exchanger can be minimized while both effectively preventing oxidation of a thermoelectric conversion element, an electrode, and a joining layer that joins said thermoelectric conversion element and electrode together and preventing short circuits, condensation, and the like due to foreign matter. Said thermoelectric conversion module contains the following: a thermoelectric conversion element using a bismuth-tellurium (Bi-Te) thermoelectric material; one or more barrier layers laid out on top of said thermoelectric conversion element; an electrode; an electrode-protecting layer laid out at least on one principal surface of said electrode; a solder layer, with concavities formed in side surfaces thereof, that joins a first region of the electrode-protecting layer to the top of the one or more barrier layers; and a coating film that is laid out on side surfaces of the thermoelectric conversion element, the one or more barrier layers, and the solder layer, covers a second region of the electrode-protecting layer, said second region being adjacent to the first region of said electrode-protecting layer, and fills the concavities in the solder layer.
