Abstract:
An N type thermoelectric material, characterized in that it comprises at least one of Bi and Sb and at least one of Te and Se as main components and further comprises bromine (Br) and iodine (I), and has a carrier concentration corresponding to the contents of the bromine (Br) and iodine (I). The N type thermoelectric material has a performance index being enhanced to a level equivalent to or higher than that of a P type material.
