Abstract:
Disclosed is a thermoelectric material which contains a complex oxide containing Zn, Al, Ga and B. One embodiment of the thermoelectric material is characterized in that the molar ratio of B to the total mole of Zn, Al, Ga and B is within the range of 0.0001-0.01 (inclusive). Another embodiment of the thermoelectric material is characterized in that the relative density of the complex oxide is not less than 95%. Another embodiment of the thermoelectric material is characterized in that at least a part of the surface of the complex oxide is covered with a coating film. Also disclosed is a thermoelectric conversion module which comprises a plurality of n-type thermoelectric materials, a plurality of p-type thermoelectric materials, and a plurality of electrodes for electrically connecting the n-type thermoelectric materials and the p-type thermoelectric materials alternately in series. The thermoelectric conversion module is characterized in that one or more of the n-type thermoelectric materials are composed of the above-described thermoelectric material.
