Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a thermoelectric power generating device wherein it is possible to detect the operating state of a thermoelectric conversion module by a simple configuration, and the precision of detecting the operating state of the thermoelectric conversion module can be improved. [Solution] A thermoelectric power generating device (17) configured including: an inner tube (21) having a bypass channel (25) into which exhaust gas expelled from the engine (1) is led; an outer tube (23) provided along the same axis as the inner tube (21), having a heat-receiving channel (22) into which exhaust gas is led together with the inner tube (21), and faced by a heat-receiving substrate (29) of the thermoelectric conversion module (27); a communication hole (36) provided to the inner tube (21) and communicating the bypass channel (25) and the heat-receiving channel (22); an opening/closing valve (26) for opening and closing the inner tube (21), the opening/closing valve (26) being provided to the inner tube (21); and an actuator (37) for controlling the opening and closing of the opening/closing valve (26).
